How a result is decided
The replay settles the match
FACEOFF runs on a deterministic engine. Identical inputs produce an identical match, down to the last carom off the boards. The recorded match decides the result, and paid matchmaking settles on Robinhood Chain.

The match decides
FACEOFF re-runs the recorded inputs of a finished match and reads the winner off that run. Neither player's browser reports the score.
Bound settlement
Each paid match belongs to one escrow contract on Robinhood Chain, and it settles or refunds there.
